Tristano Pala is a singer song-writer, flutist, guitarist and record-producer, born in Cagliari in 1983. In 2011 he settled in Berlin. Graduated in Conservatory in Italy in 2000, he began from a young age to compose original music that gravitates around the planet of groove.

His first band, Fun Key, appeared in two compilations alongside established names of the national scene: Funk In Italy (MEI, 2008) and L’Anthologia Funk (Cramps Records, 2009), a tribute to Italian funk, from the ‘70s until now.

Before deciding to deep digger into his solo adventure, he founded The Hoo, with whom he released 3 LP, 1 EP and 1 single under NDYD Records. They played more than 150 gigs in some of the best locations in Germany (SO36, Sisyphos, Wilde Renate, Festsaal Kreuzberg, Fusion Festival, Tower Musikclub, Knust Hamburg, Picnic Open in Lorelei, Watten Schlick Festival, just to name a few) and all over Europe (Le Batofar Paris, A38 Budapest and many more).

They also toured as backing band for heavyweight German mc Flowin Immo in 2014 and collaborated with Swisscom (streaming live appearance) and Funkhaus Europa (they wrote a jingle for a radio broadcast).

In 2019 Tristano records two songs for Vectronom, a musical videogame co-produced and published by ARTE, and winner of several awards, including “Best Game” at the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom 2018 and GDC’s “Best in Play” in 2019. He’s also author of the soundtrack of “Deu Ci Seu”, documentary co-produced by RAI.

In the last year he composed and recorded on the flute with two outstanding artists: Moses Concas, winner of Italy’s Got Talent 2016, on the track “Don’t Wake up The Neighbours” and Tra’Zae Clinton (grandson of p-funk legend George Clinton) on the track Bernie’s Bus Stop.

Now he’s finally ready to immerse himself into his solo project, under the name of Tristano, with a brand new album: “My 1st 3”.

Follow Tristano on.
