Japanama introduced us to something we didn‘t know we needed. Two complementing voices float softly into a drum beat and form the framework for the almost forgotten joy of guitar solos. Beyond a longlasting friendship, the band was also shaped by the love for the experimental. Japanama have something beyond a specific genre: A playground where they are able to pull traditions from the past and turn them into something their own. The result is a blend of sounds from the 60s and 70s that lead us back into the future of jelly rock, alternative and neo psychedelic. Sometimes loud, sometimes spherical but above all genuine and never the same. yeeeha.
